Tour Description

You're gonna be met by our friendly driver/guide at your villa or resort and taken on a brief ride to the outpost area. This is where your adventure starts, you will be greeted and briefed by our guides and given gears.

Next you're taken on a trail into the interior of the Island to experience the Jamaican wilderness and natural beauty amidst dense woodlands and ferns. View the rugged terrain with endless mountainous vistas.

The tour continues up to Murphy Hill "Ochies" highest peak. You'll be overlooking Ocho Rios' entire picturesque shoreline, with a view of 30-40 miles of incredible landscape, 1800 feet above sea level. Refreshing drinks will be provided to our guests at this point.

Next, Experience riding through the countryside and then going down to the beach for a ride along the shore. Your tour starts with a short orientation at the Stables.

This is truly a fun and enjoyable experience for the whole family! Our horseback riding tour goes through the scenic countryside, onto the shores and swimming bareback with the horses on a beautiful, private beach, experiencing the beautiful rural Jamaican landscape – frolic and revel in the warm Caribbean Sea. 

Upon your arrival at the stables, Our trail masters will find a horse suitable to your riding experience. This tour takes you for one of the most unforgettable Caribbean experiences. This horse-riding trail takes you to see panoramic views of Jamaican picturesque mountains and coastline. 

Your horseback riding  begins at the Sand n' Saddle picturesque private beach. You will receive a safety briefing before setting out on your ride. Helmets are provided and are mandatory to be worn. Your ride will be slow along the trail as most riders are not experienced. Your guide will point out the variety of local vegetables grown by farmers on the rural trail, which will lead you onto a stretch of white sandy beach, where you will experience the tranquil beauty of the Caribbean Sea. Next is a trail that takes you back to the private beach. On arrival at the beach the guides will assist you to dismount your horse so that you can get ready for the swim. Enjoy this once in a Lifetime experience of being on your horse in the sea. When the tide is high your horse will actually swim.

Wear your swimsuit under long pants for the sea ride. Bring a towel and wear sneakers or walking shoes. Bare legs and sandals are not recommended. Be sure to bring your camera and sunblock and a waterproof camera to capture all your special moments of this experience.   After you are finished riding, you will be taken back to Ocho Rios for some last minute shopping before you return to your villa or resort.
